Low cost geophysical well logs for hydrogeological investigations

V. K. Robinson

The Thames Water Authority, , Nugent House, Vastern Road, Reading, Berks.

A geophysical well logging equipment is described which is suitable for hydrogeological investigations in aquifers found in the British Isles. The electronic equipment used is available "off the shelf" commercially and although not designed for borehole logging has been found to be ideal for this purpose. The logging sondes, cable drums, and other borehole equipment are now available to order from a British company.
